​Our Guest Speaker:

  Bishop Ray Llarena had been in the ministry for more than 60 years and had pastored churches both in the Philippines and the    United States, and traveled around the world preaching the gospel of Lord Jesus Christ. He is also a conference, seminar and      camp meeting speaker, family counselor, evangelist and missionary. Bishop Ray, is a published author of two books: “Founded    on the Rock” and “In Search of Significance,” and for ten years he had also a weekly TV Program and a daily radio program.

  For many years Bishop Ray pastored churches in San Francisco and Northern Michigan. But in 1984 the Lord called him back      to his homeland, the Philippines, to start a new ministry. Bishop Ray, is the founder of Tabernacle of Faith International Church    group with locations all over the Philippines; and Tabernacle of Faith Christian Academy, a non-stock K-12 school, in San Juan    City.

  In 1996, he took over Faith Tabernacle Church in Chicago and pastored there for many years. It was a vibrant congregation of      3500 memberships of 40 nationalities from all over the world, and supported missionaries and mission work in Africa, Europe, New Zealand, China, the Philippines and other countries in Asia.

In 2002, he resigned from Faith Tabernacle Church and pioneered Harvest Christian Center in Chicago, a multi-ethnic and vibrant congregation which is touching the world through their mission program. In 2005, Bishop Ray Llarena founded Harvest Christian Center and Harvest Christian Academy in Honduras, Central America, which is supervised by a missionary that he raised. 

Though he resigned from being a full time pastor in 2014 to take a more Apostolic role, he is still very much active in ministry. Through his organization, Global Evangelistic Ministries (GEM), he is now focused on local and foreign missions, travels extensively overseas, assists with church planting, mentoring pastors and churches, conducting crusades, short term Bible School courses, pastor’s seminars, conferences, camp meetings and leadership training.

Camps are always very exciting times. I’m so overwhelmed by your response in
coming for this Camp. I know the LORD will visit you in a powerful way.

Special welcome to Bishop Ray Llarena…His “energy” is contagious and you can tell
the anointing of the LORD is very evident on him. Keep a “listening ear” to what the
Spirit is saying.

Let me just share why we have Camps:

• CAMPS REFRESH US…let the “waterfalls” of the Spirit refresh you in moments of worship
• CAMPS RESTORE THE MANDATE…the PATTERN of the building of the Church must be restored to that of the first Church in the book of Acts
• CAMPS REUNITE US…if you read your Bibles you will discover that the people in church are always referred to as “brothers and sister” … get to KNOW one another
• CAMPS RENEW US…our prayer is that your faith in God will be sealed at Camp and your worship enhanced.

​A Word from our Chairman:

Greetings Grace Church Campers!

I’m so excited to join all of you in Ipoh for the Church Camp this year after a long - forced break due to pandemic. 
This edition of Church Camp themed, “Restore” is going to be an awesome experience, as we gather and get to know the Lord in intimate way outside normal Church setting. Of course, we are going to have loads of fun while getting our spiritual food.
 
We, the Church Camp Committee, are entrusted to take care of organizing the logistics and all the background stuffs so that you can focus on the good stuffs of enjoying the camp. Do reach out to us anytime before and during the camp if you need any assistance.

We have formed a WhatsApp group chat to communicate and you can connect to us through the chat group (https://chat.whatsapp.com/KarWlMCnAj5Ciny7QmEFfS). 

​So bring your awesome selves to the camp and see you in Ipoh.

PARKING:
Procedure will be as the following. 
1. Please check in the parking system with your own Touch 'N' Go, Debit or Credit Card
2. Validate the used card at the special counter which will setup for them during check in day
3. After validation you can enter and exist the car park during the Camp as many time at only RM6 per car

Restoran Tauge Ayam Ong Kee 
When it comes to food in Ipoh, the most famous of them all has got to be chicken rice with Ipoh’s homegrown bean sprouts. There’s no chicken rice restaurant more popular than Restoran Tauge Ayam Ong Kee which is located right in the heart of Ipoh town.

 Funny Mountain
 Tau fu fah (soya beancurd pudding) is a must-have dessert if you are in Ipoh. It is said that the tau fu fah here is made with spring water in Ipoh, giving it its unique taste and texture. The go-to spot to satisfy your Tau Fu Fah (RM3) cravings in Ipoh is Funny Mountain, a family-run store that has been operating for over 60 years.

Restoran Chooi Yue Dim Sum
Ipoh is famous for its dim sum. Opinions may differ between locals on which is the ‘best dim sum restaurant’ in Ipoh but Restoran Chooi Yue Dim Sum is definitely right up there. Just be prepared to queue especially if you’re planning to have breakfast here on a weekend.

Kedai Kopi Yong Suan
Nasi Ganja is actually nasi kandar-- however this nasi ganja term was coined by the locals because it’s so addictive. Ask any local from Ipoh (or tourists who have been to Ipoh) and they will tell you that the best nasi ganja in town is at Kedai Kopi Yong Suan, a rustic coffee shop that has been in business for over 60 years.

Nam Heong White Coffee
If you’re looking for old-school baked goods to go with your cup of Ipoh white coffee, Nam Heong White Coffee Shop is the place to be. This humble kopitiam is one of the pioneers of Ipoh white coffee and the inspiration behind the now-popular Old Town White Coffee.

Established in 1963, Restoran Tuck Kee is a half-a-century old restaurant that is almost always crowded with hungry patrons. The signature dish here is definitely the Yu Kong Hor (also known as Moonlight Noodles) which is arguably the best in town and a must-try when in the vicinity.

Deen CT Corner Cendol
There’s nothing more refreshing than an icy bowl of cendol on a hot day. Deen CT Corner Cendol has been operating for more than 20 years. The stall is run by an elderly experienced husband and wife duo and there is always a queue in the afternoons for their cendol.
